Bruno Giacosa Partners with Vinify for the Australian Market

To our customers and industry friends, It is my pleasure to announce our new distribution partnership with the legendary Bruno Giacosa estate, Piedmont. From 2023, Vinify is the exclusive Australian importer of Giacosa and along with our partners we will be distributing these outstanding wines Australia-wide.

Without a doubt one of the luminaries of Piemontese winemaking, Bruno Giacosa established his estate over decades of work and a love of the Langhe. Thanks to his feverous belief in the territory of Barolo and Barbaresco, there are few names that carry as much weight of importance anywhere in the wine world.

Since my early years in the wine industry, those of ‘BG’ have held a special place in my heart, and I have always maintained that if there were an estate anywhere in the world that I would love my team to someday represent, it would be this one. These are hauntingly beautiful wines, from the Dolcetto and Barbera, unbelievable ‘Valmaggiore’ Nebbiolo to the unrivalled Barbarescos and Barolos, especially those adorned with the ‘Red Label’. They embody all the parts – including those that are impossible to describe – about terroir-led fine wine.

I thank my team of sales, marketing and operations professionals for your hard work to put us in a position to represent such an important estate. You are all truly brilliant.

To Bruna Giacosa, Bruno’s daughter and current custodian of the estate, for her shared belief in our vision for the future of the wine industry and appreciation of the work we are doing in the Australian market. Bruna shares the same humble character that her father was famous for, despite the provenance of the estate that she runs to a flawless standard.

And our devoted customers, who we look forward to sharing many bottles of Giacosa’s wines with in the future. Thank you.

The first release for this year will be in April for the Nebbiolos, including 2019 Barbaresco Rabaja, the 2019 Barolos and an outstanding Red Label. A second release will follow after a few months for the Casa Vinicola wines. Allocations and availabilities will be shared customer-by-customer by our sales team and distributors nationally.
